Pepper pods are usually 1-2 inches long. The peppers are ripe when they change from green to orange. Not only is this a very hot pepper, between 150,000 and 300,000 Scoville Heat Units, it is a great tasting pepper sauce and salsa ingredient. This pepper produces high yields in 90-115 days.
Germinates
in 14-26 days at 72F, but I have found that the germination rate
improves at around 80 degrees. The seeds will need these warm temperatures to
germinate. Not frost tolerant! The plants grow the best with low temperatures
above 65 and daytime highs around 80-85 degrees.
